Sea veggies are rich in umami as they naturally contain glutamic acid, used by almost every lifeform to synthesize protein. Dulse Granules are mineral rich but low in sodium; just 28mg per serving. One serving is also an excellent source of iodine (189% RDI), essential for thyroid function, and a good source of iron (17% RDI), needed to transport oxygen in the blood. Our dulse granules are harvested from wild dulse beds in the North Atlantic and dried at mild temperatures to retain enzymes and nutrition.
