Pregnenolone is a compound naturally produced in the human body in the brain, gonads, and adrenal glands. Studies have shown that when taken as a supplement, Pregnenolone may help support mood, learning, memory and promote neuron health.

Recommended Dosage

We recommend starting with a dosage of 50 mg (one capsule), or 25 mg (half of a capsule) and only increasing the dosage if you don’t experience the desired benefits. Adverse side effects are more likely to occur at higher dosages, so if you find a low dose to be effective it’s generally not recommended to increase it further.

Side Effects

While Pregnenolone is non-toxic and handled well by the body even at doses well exceeding what’s typically recommended, adverse side effects including insomnia, irritability, headaches, and mood swings have been reported in some users. These side effects are much more likely to occur at higher doses.

Pregnenolone should not be combined with exogenous hormones, and there is evidence that Pregnenolone can reduce the effectiveness of benzodiazepine drugs. Please consult your physician before taking Pregnenolone.
