Stephen besty, born in Coventry, England on January 27, 1961, is an international illustrator of popular science books.

Besdie is an artist who can use superb visual art to depict phenomena. When he was a child, he spent a lot of time painting castles, knights in battle and ferocious Vikings. Films such as Spartacus, Ben Hur and Cleopatra have inspired him and contributed to his imagination.

In 1980, he entered Brighton polytechnic school for further study, where he studied painting specialized in reproducing history, and showed a unique interest in painting deep into castles or other ancient buildings. After receiving a bachelors degree in graphic design, he continued to specialize in painting to reproduce history at Birmingham polytechnic school and received a masters degree.

Since 1985, Stephen has been a full-time painter of all kinds of childrens books and illustrations. It took him two and a half years to finish his first masterpiece, incredible section - big section, which sold well after its publication in 1992. This inspired him to create a follow-up "large profile series", including "the battleship" (1993), "the great castle" (1994), "incredible profile - turning over the book" (1995), "incredible explosion" (1996), "incredible everything" (1997), "incredible body" (1998), and "DKs wonderful turning over 3D time column" (1999). Besdie now lives in Somerset, England, with his wife and son.
