This clever book combines two popular passions of 2 to 4 year-olds: Peppa Pig and stickers! And it’s educational to boot. In total there are 64 pages of different topics, ranging from nature, space and transport to food, body parts and holidays, among many others. Some items are pictured and others have just a silhouette, which has to be completed with the stickers. As all items are named, a child can look for the sticker with the same label as the silhouette, or simply match the shapes. This means that the book can appeal to different ages and ability levels.

The book is billed as 1000 first words, and it does a great job of promoting vocabulary development in children who are already talking well but are ready to be introduced to new words. I especially like the pages devoted to words describing activities and feelings. I bought this for my 2.5 year-old grandson to help keep him occupied on a long distance flight and I’m told it worked a treat. The only criticism I got was that the sticker pages are not perforated, so have to be torn or cut out to make them easy to work with. That said, I’m still going to give the book 5 stars!
