วิธีใช้ : เปิดประตูด้านหน้าออก (ด้านที่ใหญ่กว่า) โดยด้านข้างของประตูจะมีตัวลิ้น (สปริง) เล็กๆอยู่ ให้ดันสปริงขึ้นไปทางซ้ายพร้อมเปิดประตู ดันประตูขึ้นให้สุดตัวฝาจะล็อคอัตโนมัติ หลังจากนั้นเปิดฝาอีกด้านนึง (ลักษณะเป็นซี่ๆ) เพื่อใส่เหยื่อล่อแล้วปิดฝาด้านนี้ให้แน่น แล้วนำไปวางในมุมอับต่างๆ เมื่อเมื่อหนูเดินเข้าไปด้านในจะมีกลไกปิดทันที ทำให้หนูไม่สามารถกลับออกมาได้ จากนั้นสามารถนำไปทิ้งทั้งกล่องหรือนำไปปล่อยทิ้งแล้วนำกับดักกลับมาใช้ใหม่ได้
