OVERVIEW
▶️ The aim of this course is to increase the candidates’ nautical knowledge to competently and safely take on the responsibilities required when in charge of a Small Powerboat/RIB.
▶️ The objective of the course is to develop the skills and gain the knowledge to safely handle small boats or dinghies.
▶️ The expected learning outcome is that the candidate will attain good basic understanding and groundwork of Small Commercial Vessel Code and incorporating:
▶️ Basic Safety equipment and procedures
▶️ Introduction to VHF
▶️ Small Powerboats and Rigid Inflatable Boats
▶️ Launch and Recovery,
▶️ Anchors and Anchoring,
▶️ Nautical Terminology
▶️ Boat Handling under Power
▶️ MOB Procedures,
▶️ Ropes and Ropework
▶️ Basic Collision Regulations (Rules of the Road)
