ที่นิยมนำมาสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยมีอยู่ 2 ชนิด คือ Jasmine sambac และ Jasmine Grandiflorum ซึ่งตัว Jasmine sambac ที่เข้มหนักกว่าในขณะที่ Jasmine Grandiflorum จะหอมติดหวานมากกว่า มีคุณสมบัติที่ใกล้เคียงกัน มีกลิ่นที่หอมหวาน ผ่อนคลาย ปลอบโยนส่งเสริมความรักและปลดปล่อย มีกลิ่นหอมเย้ายวนและโรแมนติก และถูกนำมาใช้ในอุตสาหกรรมน้ำหอมมากที่สุดตัวหนึ่ง
“ดอกมะลิ” จัดเป็นยาในพิกัดเกสร ทั้ง 5, ทั้ง 7 และทั้ง 9 จัดเป็น “ยารสหอมเย็น”
มะลิจัดเป็น Top list ของผู้หญิงหลายๆคนในกลุ่ม perfumery มีกลิ่นทนนาน แทบจะเป็นน้ำมันหอมระเหยที่ใช้ผสมกับน้ำมันหอมระเหยตัวอื่นๆมากที่สุดตัวหนึ่งแม้แต่ในน้ำหอมของผู้ชาย เพราะจริงๆ แล้วมะลิถูกเรียกขานเป็น King of Oils จัดเป็นหนึ่งในน้ำมันหอมระเหยที่ราคาสูง มีกลีบดอกชั้นเดียว ปลายกลีบมน มีกลีบบอบบาง ไม่ทนความร้อน และต้องใช้ดอกมะลิกว่า 8000 ดอกต่อน้ำมันหอมระเหย 1 มล หรือประมาณ 20 หยด
โดยต้องเก็บดอกมะลิกว่า 8 ล้านดอกเพื่อการผลิต 1 กิโลกรัมของน้ำมันหอม และต้องเก็บตอนกลางคืนถึงเช้ามืด เพราะเป็นช่วงที่ส่งกลิ่นดีที่สุด และหนึ่งคนจะสามารถเก็บดอกมะลิได้ไม่เกิน 15000 ช่อดอก หายแปลกใจแล้วนะคะว่าทำไมกลุ่มน้ำมันหอมระเหยดอกไม้จึงราคาสูง
-ข้อแนะนำในการนำไปใช้
หยดเตาน้ำมันหอมระเหยกระจายกลิ่น
สามารถใช้โดยผสมน้ำมันพื้นฐานหรือเบสโลชั่น ใช้นวดตัว หรือเบสแชมพูใช้สระผม ในอัตราส่วน 0.5% -3 %
ผสมในโลชั่นทาผิวไม่เกิน 3 %
หยด 3-4 หยด ผสมกับน้ำมันเบสหนึ่งช้อนโต๊ะ ผสมลงในอ่างน้ำอุ่นสำหรับแช่ตัว
หยด 1-2 หยดใส่สำลีหรือทิชชูสอดไว้ใต้หมอน
ข้อควรระวังก่อนนำไปใช้
ใช้ภายนอก ห้ามรับประทาน
ไม่ควรใช้ในสตรีมีครรภ์ เด็กเล็ก และผู้ที่มีผิวบอบบางแพ้ง่าย และควรใช้อย่างระมัดระวัง
ห้ามสูดดมโดยตรงต้องทำให้เจือจางก่อน

-Jasmine Premium absolute has an intense aroma. It is strong enough to still be potent when diluted to 10%. To reduce cost it is diluted with refined jojoba oil. Refined jojoba oil has nearly all of its scent removed to allow the full aroma of jasmine to come through without being altered by the scent of a carrier oil. Jojoba is also one of the longer lasting carrier oils that will stay on the skin.
-Jasmine is one of the most desired and beautiful aromas. In India it is known as Queen of the night because it is at that time when it releases the most powerful aroma. Jasmine sambac blooms late evenings while grandiflorum releases its aroma predawn. It is during these late night hours when the flowers are hand selected and it takes as much as 8000 flowers to produce just 1 ml of oil.
-Note: Most essential oils cannot be taken internally, but even when they can, essential oils are highly concentrated and require dilution, special training and caution that Aroma & More does not yet provide. You can never drink any essential oils at 100% strength or diluted in water-based liquids.
