Note:
1. Make sure the filter works under working pressure, when the system uses a booster pump, use a pressure control valve.
2. If the pump level is higher than the water level, a return water control valve needs to be installed.
3. If the pump level is lower than the water level, an isolation valve needs to be installed. It stops the backflow of water when people do general inspections.
4. Minimize bending of connection adapters and hose connections. Minimize water scrubbing for maximum effect.
5. Make sure you dont apply too much solvent to the fitting as this can get into the o‑rings and cause sealing problems.
6. Do not overtighten the connector or adapter
7. Note the initial pressure gauge reading when the filter is cleaned. (It will vary from pool to pool depending on the pump and general plumbing). As the filter removes dirt and impurities from the pool water, the buildup in the filter will cause the pressure to rise and flow to decrease. When the gauge reads 8‑10 PSI (0.55‑0.69 BAR) above the initial "clean" pressure you recorded, its time to backwash (clean) the filter.
8. IMPORTANT: To prevent unnecessary stress on the piping system and valves, be sure to turn off the pump before switching the filter control valve position.
9. To prevent damage to the pump and filter and for proper system operation, clean the pump filter and skimmer basket regularly.
