-There are many claims about benefits but is perhaps best known for its relaxing uplifting characteristics and rich floral scent. -Its ability to bring peace, confidence and improve mood is perhaps how it got its reputation as an aphrodisiac.
-Ylang Ylang is produced in either a fractioned or unfractioned distillation process. In an unfractioned process the oil is distilled in one step and is considered “Complete”. However, many of the most desired characteristics emerge in the early distillation process. To obtain higher concentration of these constituents the distillation for aromatherapy oils is separated into 4 stages, or a fractioned process. The distillation process is stopped at different time periods to collect the oil. The earliest stage for aromatherapy oil produces a product called Ylang Ylang Extra, then Ylang Ylang 1, 2, and 3 with 3 being the least floral aromatically. Production need 100kg of flower to get 1kg of oils.
