This plate comes with the 9Barista as standard.

It is an improved version of the original heat exchanger plate (which we no longer produce), and is made from one single piece of aluminium, which makes it more robust and means it will not bow or delaminate. For the same gas setting, it will also heat the 9Barista faster.

The plate is finished in black, but this will change to red and then silver after some use, as shown in the gallery image. This is perfectly normal, and it’s a useful indicator that the plate is providing your machine with enough heat.

The plate will work on domestic gas, electric and ceramic cookers, but not induction. Please see the Induction adaptor plate if you want to use your 9Barista on an induction stove.

3. 53mm Tamper

An original 9Barista 53mm tamper.
Each 9Barista comes with a tamper as standard.

A replacement Basket Cap to fit all 9Barista espresso machines.
The basket cap fits inside the 53mm filter basket, and helps to keep the ground coffee is position.

5. Chimney
A replacement chimney to fit all 9Barista machines.

You’ll need to follow our disassembly instructions to remove your old chimney. You will need a T10 Torx screw driver for the screws, which can be re-used.

6. Safety rings and seals x 2

A pair of safety rings and a pair of seals. Compatible with all 9Barista machines.
The safety ring requires two seals when installed, so reuse the seals when installing the second safety ring.

The safety ring is a fail-safe device which will safely depressurize the machine if it’s overheated. You’ll know you need to replace the safety ring if you notice water leaking from a small hole on the side of the ring.
