How to Use:
1. The data of the transmittance meter is obtained by dividing the transmitted luminous flux by the incident luminous flux or original luminous flux. The built in light sources of both instruments are white light of 380‑760 nm. The instrument is mainly composed of a light source and a receiver. After the machine is turned on, the parallel light emitted by the light source is all received by the receiver, and the instrument obtains the incident luminous flux value. After the test material is placed between the light source and the receiver, due to the different ability of different materials to absorb light, the receiver cannot receive all the light emitted by the light source. At this time, the luminous flux passing through the material is divided by the original luminous flux to obtain the materials light transmittance.
2. The test aperture of LS117 densitometer is 2mm, the minimum test accuracy can get to ±0.02, and the transmittance resolution can get to 0.0005%, which is very suitable for some materials with extremely low transmittance and high accuracy. Secondly, the LS117 is equipped with a fixed seat, and there are two measurement methods. Small materials can be placed on the fixed seat for testing. Large samples need to take out the receiver and light source, and manually align and measure.
3. After the instrument is turned on, the display shows 100% for T, that is light transmittance, and 0 for OD, that is optical density, and the test can be started. For the measurement of highly reflective materials with transmittance generally above 90%, the instrument is equipped with a black shading fleece. During the test, the fleece is placed on the highly reflective material, the fleece is facing upwards, and the light source is aimed at the holes on the fleece. Start the measurement and read the data.
