A wonderful no-fuss’ option for your Aglaonema houseplant collection. Glossy, dark green leaves are strikingly marbled with silvery green chevrons.
Chinese Evergreen Aglaonema Maria has a retro-chic quality and has been an interior design staple since the 1970s.It will tolerate more shade and cooler temperatures than other varieties, making it a useful, decorative addition across homes and offices.
Light - Aglaonema thrives in most light levels. The lighter the leaf colour, the more light required. Plain, dark green varieties prefer near-shade, whereas the lighter, variegated types need well-lit conditions. Avoid direct sunlight.
Watering - The Aglaonema Silver Queens soil should be kept moist at all times. Do not allow it to dry out. Make sure not to overwater as this may encourage root rot. Moderation is the key.
Temperature - Does well in normal room temperatures: 18-24°C, however, avoid draughts as these can cause undesirable temperature fluctuations.
Humidity - Chinese Evergreens can tolerate lower humidity than some other plants, yet it will still appreciate your efforts to improve surrounding humidity levels by misting regularly.
Feed -Slow release fertiliser once a month during the growing season.
Toxicity - These plants can irritate if eaten and the sap is a skin and eye irritant. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Air Purifying - Cleans and improves air quality by filtering toxins from the surrounding environment such as Benzene and Formaldehyde.
Origin - Aglaonema Silver Queen is a native of the tropics and subtropics of Asia and New Guinea.
