World of Final Fantasy เป็นเกม RPG สำหรับลงให้ PS4 และ PSVita จากทาง SquareEnix ที่ได้เอาแนวคิดของ “ไฟนอลฯแบบเดิมๆ” มารวมกับ “เกมแนวโปเกม่อน” ที่ให้ผู้เล่นสามารถจับมอนสเตอร์ในเกมมาเป็นพวกช่วยต่อสู้และหาไอเทมได้ โดยจะมีฉากและตัวละครจาก Final Fantasy ภาคต่างๆ มาร่วมเดินทางไปกับผู้เล่นในเนื้อเรื่องเฉพาะของตัวเองด้วย เช่น Cloud จากไฟนอลฯ7 และฉากปราสาท Cornelia ซึ่งตัวละครเหล่านี้จะมีบทบาทในปาร์ตี้เฉพาะกิจ หรือการทำ Sidequest (ภารกิจเสริม) เท่านั้น ตัวเกมจะเล่าเรื่องราวในโลกที่เรียกว่า “Grimoire” เป็นโลกที่มอนสเตอร์ในเนื้อเรื่องของไฟนอลฯมาอาศัยร่วมกัน ซึ่งนี่จะเป็นเรื่องราวที่ถูกแต่งขึ้นมาใหม่ทั้งหมด แต่ก็จะมีบางช่วงที่เล่าถึงเนื้อหาเดิมของซีรี่ยส์หลักด้วย โดยจะเน้นไปที่ภาค 6, 7 และ 8 เป็นหลักครับ
