Pavarotti & Friends for Cambodia & Tibet
Pavarotti and his friends sang for Cambodia and Tibet
Every year, Pavarotti, the king of treble C, holds a charity concert - "Pavarotti and pop stars concert" in his hometown of mondina, Italy. At present, it has benefited thousands of people and children: from the earliest assistance to patients with "Mediterranean anemia", and then to the rescue of "war orphans" in Bosnia, Kosovo, Liberia and Guatemala. After seven concerts, Pavarotti has become a respected music charity Ambassador all over the world. On June 6, 2000, "Pavarotti and pop stars concert" began as usual. The income from tickets, recording and video of the concert is used to help people in need. In the past, the target of assistance focused on Europe and Tibet. This year, it will turn its tentacles to Asia to help children in Cambodia and Tibet. To this end, 30 children from Cambodia and Tibet also participated in the concert. The spiritual leader of Tibet, the Dalai Lama, also came to the scene to convey the Millennium blessing and expound the humanitarian spirit of hope and peace. Therefore, the concert was specially named "music for peace". This year, artists invited to participate in the performance include George Michael and dance rhyme choir from Britain, Tracy Chapman from the United States, Enrique from Spain, shuidingdang choir from Denmark, savage garden choir from Australia, sucro from Italy and veroso from Brazil. His "brother can you spare a dime", "baby can I hold you night", "Agnus Dei", "I knew I loved you" all echoed the theme of "music of peace", and the final "all you need is love" chorus pushed this meaningful charity concert to a climax and wrote a new home page for humanitarian care in the millennium. Continuing the practice of the past year, in order to convey love and care, in addition to the collection of nebulae, the magnificent stage of the concert is perfectly matched with the music sung by the singer. This is a concert combining classical and popular. Under the live recording and video, the audio-visual power is more full. Regardless of the video quality, it is an ultimate performance and a millennium audio-visual commemorative album.
