Three key words of Herve Tullets creation:
1. Children
I usually think of not only children, but the moment when children will share reading with adults; A unique moment integrating two cognitions, two visions and two completely different worlds. Children can read freely, but adults cant.
Children explore and discover in this moment, and their thinking is like a searchlight flashing constantly; Adults know everything here and act as a signal light; Their cognition does not conflict, they are both real experiences and feelings, but one side is more poetic, the other is more realistic.
The appearance of the book will create an equal dialogue space for them to exchange and share their different understanding of the world.
2. Games
When books are used as game media, they often contain many elements: vision, thinking, fingers, gestures, light, body, and childrens back and forth in the adult and childrens world. When playing games with books, it can often promote the possibility of dialogue between peoples various senses and works, constantly try and discover, so as to achieve an ultimate goal - learning.
3. Energy
Whenever I think of the word "painting", what comes to mind is not a specific "good-looking painting", but an accurate energy that can be described.
An energy that can let children live purely in it. The moments brought to them by those paintings and stories are cherished in my heart. It is an energy that can make creativity indelible.
I keep repeating these words: "I have the same strong desire for surprises and creating surprises, so strong that I forget everything at the beginning of painting. This makes me like a free runner, out of breath while running; it also makes me like a lonely Sonata, improvising and overthrowing myself again and again."
