When happiness knocks(The Pursuit of Happyness)Based on the true story. The protagonist of the story is todays black American investment expertsChris Gardner. He explained the responsibility and struggle with his life and how to realize his dream. He never gave up his dream and worked hard.

The spelling error of "happyness" in the title of the book is actually ingenious. It implies a very important scene in the book, and the reader can uncover the mystery himself.
The film of the same name adapted from the book is also very successful. The film critics did not hesitate to praise the film. The New York Times commented, "this film is a fairy tale in the real world, and the performance of Smith and his son is even more moving." Rolling Stone magazine commented, "Smith is moving towards the Oscar." And he was awarded "Hollywood valuable actor" by Forbes in 2009.

The astounding yet true rags-to-riches saga of a homeless father who raised and cared for his son on the mean streets of San Francisco and went on to become a crown prince of Wall Street
At the age of twenty, Milwaukee native Chris Gardner, just out of the Navy, arrived in San Francisco to pursue a promising career in medicine. Considered a prodigy in scientific research, he surprised everyone and himself by setting his sights on the competitive world of high finance. Yet no sooner had he landed an entry-level position at a prestigious firm than Gardner found himself caught in a web of incredibly challenging circumstances that left him as part of the citys working homeless and with a toddler son. Motivated by the promise he made to himself as a fatherless child to never abandon his own children, the two spent almost a year moving among shelters, "HO-tels," soup lines, and even sleeping in the public restroom of a subway station.
Never giving in to despair, Gardner made an astonishing transformation from being part of the citys invisible poor to being a powerful player in its financial district.
More than a memoir of Gardners financial success, this is the story of a man who breaks his own familys cycle of men abandoning their children. Mythic, triumphant, and unstintingly honest, The Pursuit of Happyness conjures heroes like Horatio Alger and Antwone Fisher, and appeals to the very essence of the American Dream.

In the warm, inspirational and tearful autobiography "when happiness knocks on the door", the author Chris Gardner was abandoned by his biological father, and his stepfather was even more violent. Chris vowed to raise his children seriously and responsibly no matter what the future holds. But all the difficulties Chris experienced were enough to shake anyones will. In times of difficulty, he and his toothy son were homeless, and could only carry their only property on their backs, carrying diapers, pushing strollers, wandering on the street, and even boarding in the bathroom of the subway station... But he never gave up his dream, faced adversity with humor and perseverance, and with extraordinary wisdom and diligent efforts, Finally, there is a happy moment - to become a successful stockbroker.
