Summary
In Mansfield manor, Fanny was raised by her rich aunt Mrs. Lun and uncle Sir Thomas. She grew up at Mansfield manor with her four cousins Tom, Edmund, Maria and Julia, but she was often treated unfairly. Maria and Julia are proud of being spoiled and very vain; Tom is neither responsible nor gambling; Only good cousin Edmund treated her equally and kindly. As time went on, Fannys gratitude gradually turned into a secret love. The novel ends with the happy marriage between Fanny and Edmund, but in the process of story development, the authors satire mainly points to the British upper class society represented by several rich families, revealing their affectation and absurdity.
About the author
Jane Austen, a British woman writer, has published six novels. It truly depicts the small world around her, especially the marriage and love storm between gentlemen and ladies.
